Job Introduction

From 1 December 2025 the pay range for this role will be £33,699 – £39,152 Band 8 (pro rata for part time colleagues).   To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. This reflects our commitment to equity across the organisation and aligns with the approach taken with existing staff during the transition. While the starting salary is fixed, the role offers excellent scope for growth, meaningful contribution, and being part of a forward-thinking team.

Job Introduction

The Managing Other People’s Money Team is looking to recruit a Deputyship Officer.

The post is office based at BCP Civic Centre, Bournemouth, with flexibility for some home working once trained.

This role will suit someone that’s people centred and who wants a rewarding job improving the lives of vulnerable adults for whom BCP Council receives their welfare benefits. You will need to be an excellent communicator with an aptitude for figures and accuracy, as your clients will depend on you to get things right. With a demanding caseload of clients you will need to be highly organised and be able to juggle the different priorities.

You’ll join an established team of skilled and motivated individuals jointly working with colleagues across Adult Social Care.

This role will require visiting people across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole locality.
