Job Introduction
From 1 December 2025 the pay range for this role will be £42,839 – £49,282 Band 10 (pro rata for part time colleagues). To promote fairness and consistency, all new starters will begin at the bottom of the pay band. This reflects our commitment to equity across the organisation and aligns with the approach taken with existing staff during the transition. While the starting salary is fixed, the role offers excellent scope for growth, meaningful contribution, and being part of a forward-thinking team.

Senior Housing Options Officer
Working in the Strategic Housing Options Team at BCP is incredibly fulfilling. As a Senior Housing Options Officer, you'll be part of a large team of dedicated Senior Officers who are committed to helping our staff achieve their full potential. This role is not just about supporting our colleagues but also about making a real difference in the lives of our customers, helping them to maintain their homes and improve their situations. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Housing Options Team as a Senior Housing Options Officer.
12month contract
Could you support positive change in people’s lives?
If you can:
- Supervise a team of housing practitioners delivering housing advice and homelessness support
- Help to motivate and guide teams to deliver person centred support for customers that are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
- Assist in the delivery of and development of homelessness services within BCP
- Communicate effectively with customers, face to face and over the phone to maximise engagement and positive housing and support outcomes
- Work with a varied workload, and be able to juggle ever changing priorities
- Represent Housing Services at case conferences and multi-agency meetings
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies to ensure holistic support for customers to access and maintain accommodation.
- Understand the Homelessness Reduction Act and guide teams to proactively work to prevent homelessness.
